All transformers have an electro-static metallic earth shield fitted between Primary and Secondary windings. All the Primaries are capable of withstanding an impulse voltage of 6kV.
 
All are designed to operate at ambient temperatures of up to +60° without any detriment.
 
Transformers above 1.5kVA are still available as detailed in the BR 924A Specification although the 250V types are now mainly ordered as enclosed types and not as open and shrouded.
If enclosed types are required, this must be specified at the time of enquiry. The 110V range is still produced as open types, although a drip-proof chassis can be fitted if required.

Now manufactured to NR/ L2/ SIG/ 30007, these transformers supersede the previous range which was manufactured to BR Specification 924A.
 
650V, 400V and 230V Transformers are all enclosed in cases which provide protection to IP32. 110V transformers (500VA and above) are also enclosed in cases,
whilst smaller 110V transformers (10-250VA) are mounted on a drip proof chassis.
 
The transformers are provided with tappings on both the Primary and Secondary windings so that the output can be maintained to within
+/- 2 % for an input voltage variation of up to 10%.
 
The full range of these high efficiency transformers are designed to have a lower regulation than their BR 924A counterparts and a guaranteed inrush current of less than 10 times the R.M.S primary rating.
